The Coatint colouring system, introduced to the market by Erco, is designed to provide both professionals and end users with high quality gelcoats in a wide range of colours. Enabling the colouring of resins and gelcoats of different properties, Coatint ensures the highest quality standards and minimises manual intervention thanks to its accurate, fast and easy operation.

Pigment Pastes 

The pigment pastes used in the Coatint system are designed and formulated in accordance with certain principles; 

  •  Careful selection of pigments – Covering the full range of colours, RAL, PANTONE etc.
  •  High temperature resistance,
  •  Fully compatible with bases (complete mixing even with multiple paste formulas and excellent results in the rub-out test) 
  •  Trouble-free use without affecting the final product result
  •  Automatic dosing system also suitable for low density use. Colour pastes are lead and heavy metal free. Concentrated pastes are used and high quality products can be prepared in a short time. The physical and chemical properties and colour deviations (DeltaE) of the gelcoats obtained with the system that enables continuous production of the same quality are meticulously examined. Bases are gelcoats specially formulated to be mixed with pigment pastes.  Coatint Bases; 
  •  Perfectly miscible and completely compatible with pastes
  •  It covers gelcoat products with different properties and applications.
     
  •  By mixing with pastes at service points, gelcoats of the same quality as produced in Erco factories can be obtained. 

 

Base selection is made according to the intended use;  

1) ISO/NPG gelcoat where high performance chemical resistance is required, 

2)ISO gelcoat where chemical resistance is required, 

3) Ortho gelcoats can be selected for general purpose use. The aim of the Coatint system is to achieve the highest degree of colour efficiency and to reflect the technical character of the product during application.
