Vinyl Ester Resins

Vinyl Ester Resins have a different chemical structure compared to unsaturated polyester resins. They contain styrene like polyester resins and can be cured with Cobalt/MEK-P or other peroxides.VE resins are resistant to many aggressive chemicals thanks to their chemical structure and the functional groups they contain. Vinyl ester resins, which also stand out with their mechanical values, are compatible with both glass fibre and carbon fibre. Their heat resistance is also at a high level. HDT (bending temperature under load) values are higher than polyester resins and can reach up to 150 0C (ISO 75 A). They are mostly used in marine, wind turbine blades and automotive sectors. They are also consumed as barrier ply in pool and water slide production. Advanced structural panels in the aviation industry can also be produced with VE resins.
