Putty Type

Other putties such as wood putty and adhesives can also be produced from these resins. Some of the resins in this group are DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) modified. Thanks to the high amount of DCPD in their formulation, they have very high filler loading capacity and mechanical strength values as well as fast and good drying. Styrene emission and consumption are also lower. Hardness can be adjusted by using more than one resin. Formulated with fillers and additives for density and stability. Putty/adhesive type polyester resins mostly contain polymeric amines as accelerators and it is recommended to use BPO (dibenzoyl peroxide) initiator for maximum performance.
